HPG Mechanical is a growing mechanical services business in the Calgary area, offering professional plumbing and HVAC services to Calgarians since 1971.
Michael & Glenda Edworthy purchased the company in 2017, where Michael had been working as the Operations Manager since 2009. Since owning the company, Michael has implemented a leadership team to manage the company day-to-day and personally focuses on strategic growth and long term planning.

Today, our service vehicles now cover an area from Airdrie to Okotoks and Chestermere to downtown Cochrane. 

Our areas of expertise for our commercial customers are plumbing and HVAC services. Our focus is primarily on maintenance and service in condo buildings and commercial spaces.  Our plumbers are available to help throughout the area.

I enjoy seeing our customer's problems get resolved. I take pride in watching our staff provide unique solutions. No matter how difficult some days start, our team maintains their positive outlook and humour. It makes me proud to see our employees succeed every day in their work and personal lives.

I bring over 35 years of service management experience to HPG. I enjoy dealing with people and can help them see the big picture. I love to work with customers in resolving their plumbing and heating problems.

I see the details! I believe that excellence comes out of effort, determination, and intentional execution. It is important to me to give our customers the proper, detailed information to help them feel confident in making the right choices for their properties.

Why are you passionate about working for HPG Mechanical?
I enjoy working for HPG because it's a great environment with even greater people. No question goes unanswered and everyone is more then willing to lend a hand or offer good advice. The work we do is so diverse, which allows me to gain a broader knowledge of the trade and allows me to offer better service to our customers.
What unique thing do you offer HPG Mechanical?
I believe that my background as a Red Seal Journeymen Carpenter with renovations and installation experience brings a wealth of insight as to how things are done before and after the plumbing and heating stage. Also, the ability to offer a more complete service to our customers.

I am passionate about working at HPG because the core values line up with mine and everyone is willing to work together to bring the best service to our customers. I offer HPG a good work ethic, attention to detail and good customer service. I believe my experience in commercial HVAC and refrigeration will bring great service to our customers as well as help grow the HVAC department of the company.

I'm passionate about working for HPG because we have a vast scope of work which allows us a chance to learn our trades more in depth. We have a great crew and a wide variety of backgrounds, which allows us to depend on each other for help.
What unique thing do you offer HPG Mechanical?
I bring a fresh perspective into HPG. Having previous experience in service as well as in the electrical trade I also bring a unique set of skills to HPG. I joined HPG with an understanding of how to maintain a good relationship between myself and the customers. I also have experience in reading and building circuits based on wiring diagrams, and in dismantling and reassembling electrical components.

Why are you passionate about working for HPG Mechanical?
My passion for HPG comes from the fact that I see that things are reciprocated throughout the company. There is a different feeling that I have never really felt at other companies, one that shows the people at the top really do care about the staff. Because of this, the atmosphere is just very positive and people are committed to help each other. This translates directly onto our customers.
What unique thing do you offer HPG Mechanical?
Coming from a background of new installs, I have a mindset of attaining only an excellent standard. With older buildings things are not always as predictable, so knowing to strive for excellence to ensure longevity and reliability is paramount. I am constantly carrying this with me and finding balance with the sites we look after.

I am passionate about HPG because the people I work with create a great environment for learning and constantly growing your skills, at HPG there is a wide variety of work which means you are always learning something new and expanding your skill set. My favourite part about working at HPG is always being able to put a smile on our costumers faces when the job is done and seeing their satisfaction.

As a newcomer apprentice I am a very quick learner and I pick up on techniques and procedures very fast, I also love working with people and enjoy making conversation as well as hearing exactly how a customer wants something done.
